Café Central guests, December 2009/January 2010
Dear Café Central,
My wife and I visited the Café Central five times between December 19th 2009 and January 12th 2010 and found the food to be absolutely delicious (especially the pastries and desserts), however, we were also very impressed by your personnel who were unfailingly polite and professional. During those busy weeks your staff stayed relaxed and found the time to smile and have quick, informative conversations about the traditional dishes of Vienna, such as “the vanilla sauce is excellent on the apple strudel” and “yes, put all of the sauces on the tafelspitz”.
My wife – who works in the tourist industry in Québec City - tells me that the Café Central is the only restaurant where the staff talked to her when I was absent from the table. She was impressed by the quiet friendliness of even the junior staff who set and cleared the tables.
The manager who recruits, trains and motivates the staff should be commended on their work since they all provide the same quick, light, relaxed and pleasant service with a perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism.
In this regard, the Café Central sets the standard for the other cafés in Vienna.

Birthday party - January 18th, 2008
Back in France. Just a few words to thank you all for a very successful event last Friday. Thank you all for your efforts. The tables were nice, the food was very well prepared, the service was excellent and the music was super. I haven’t heard one negative comment from that evening. All our guests from 12 different nations enjoyed it very much and some of them are really difficult people to please. Thank you again.
